Afterparty at Catalyst

After an exciting day of WordCamp sessions, come join us for an afterparty/reception at Catalyst Restaurant. Catalyst is just a short walk from the venue.

Details:

  • We start at 7pm, end at 10pm
  • There’ll be a wine & beer cash bar*
  • Appetizers (sliders, mac & cheese, hummus & veggies, etc)

Bring your badge, that’s your ticket into the afterparty.

*The cash bar will only accept cash, they won’t have a card machine in our event’s room. There’s an ATM across the street.

A big thanks to Oomph for sponsoring the afterparty!

WordCamp Boston is happening this weekend!

Everyone ready? We’re planning an excellent day of talks, followed by food, drinks, and socializing at Catalyst (more info on this later this week).

WordCamp2013_021Our doors will open at 8am for registration, and we’ll have coffee and snacks set out, sponsored by GoWP.

We’ll have lunch at 12 noon, sponsored by SiteGround. It’s supposed to be a nice day (even a bit cool!) so we encourage taking your lunch boxes outside and enjoying the weather.

If you can’t make it, or can’t get enough WordCamp, you can also follow along on twitter using the #wcbos hashtag.

Finally, we’ll be having a contributor day on Sunday, to take advantage of all the WordPress excitement. This’ll be starting at 11am in WorkBar Cambridge. If you’re interested in coming, please fill out this quick form (not required to attend).

Edit: We’ve just added parking info for Saturday to the Location page.

  • Did something you learned (or someone you met) at WordCamp Boston change the course of your career?
  • Did going to WordCamp Boston have a significant impact on your career or life?

One week left to apply to speak at WordCamp Boston 2014!

There’s just one week left to submit your session proposal to WordCamp Boston! We’re looking for local bloggers, designers, developers, entrepreneurs, and all-around users to talk about their experiences working with WordPress. We want to hear about the interesting things you’re doing with WordPress, and the challenges you’ve overcome. This year, we’d really love to see more stories from local community members.

Some talks from last year include:

If you’re interested in presenting this year, head on over to our speaker application page.

(Of note this year, we’re going to do our first round of speaker selection totally blind. Our speaker committee will not know any identifying information about potential speakers until we move into selecting the final list of speakers. We’re hoping this will help remove any unintentional biases and make our speaker selection more reflective of our community.)
